A sonnet on Political Systems

We struggle to find More’s Utopia;

One thinks a Democracy should flower

Another, Communism is the saviour

Always taken by those who crave power.

It is hard to get to where we have all

No need for struggle, just political Peace

That means we can each stand prouder and tall

Where ethics are tables for our life feast.

Neither Theocracy, nor Oligarchy

Will suffice. We cannot have Monarchy

Nor that trading which coins Plutocracy;

Know our doom must surely be Anarchy.

There must be a state that does away with our need

promises forever no hungry mouths to feed.
